SALT LAKE CITY — This year's Kilby Block Party brought in 90,000 visits over three days, while also garnering national buzz. Event organizers hope to maintain that momentum with another large lineup for 2027.
Two-time Grammy Award-winning metal band Deftones, indie rockers The Strokes and the British funk band Jungle are set to headline the event at the Utah State Fairpark May 14-16, 2027. The Strokes are a returning headliner, having performed in 2023.
Next year's event will bring in more than 70 musical artists over the three-day set, including revered Irish rockers Fontaines D.C., electropop singer-songwriter Slayyyter and hip-hop star Lil Yachty.
Idles, Julien Baker, Kim Gordon, Spoon, Two Door Cinema Club and Weyes Blood are among the other bigger-name artists slated to perform.

A ticket presale for three-day passes runs from noon Wednesday through 9 a.m. Thursday. General three-day passes will go on sale online beginning at 10 a.m. on Thursday.
Three-day passes will start at $245, with payment plans beginning at $49 down, according to S&S Presents, which operates the festival.
Approximately a dozen additional artists are set to be revealed leading up to the event, per the lineup artwork.
Many of the names were leaked on social media earlier this week with a version of the flyer that featured more artists than what was officially announced on Wednesday. The list included a rising indie singer-songwriter star and a notable experimental rock band, among others.
However, event organizers don't endorse the screenshot. Any versions of the festival's artwork posted online before Wednesday are "not official representations of the festival," said Riley Bode, marketing coordinator at S&S Presents.
"We'd been planning on this (announcement) date for a while; we were stoked to be able to announce early this year!" she added.
Kilby Block Party started in 2019 as a celebration of Kilby Court's 20th birthday — the iconic music venue in Salt Lake City's Granary District. It was ultimately moved to Library Square and then Utah State Fairpark as it has grown.
The past year's festival, which New Zealand pop star Lorde called "the absolute coolest festival ever" after headlining it, drew a total attendance of over 34,000, many of whom showed up for all three days, leading to an estimate of 90,000 visits, according to data compiled by Y2 Analytics for S&S Presents.
Nearly half of the attendees arrived from outside of Utah. Overall, the event was estimated to have added $33.5 million to the state's GDP, while generating $3.3 million in state and local tax revenue and supporting more than 400 Utah jobs.
"Kilby Block Party 2027 will continue the festival's tradition of bringing together an incredible collection of fans and performing artists each year to celebrate life, community and a shared unwavering love for the irreplicable power of live music," organizers added on Wednesday.
