SOUTH SALT LAKE — An Amber Alert was issued but quickly canceled Friday after a child out of South Salt Lake was reported as being abducted by a non-family member.

A 9-year-old boy was said to have been taken by someone he wasn't related to.

Officials have not yet indicated how or where the boy and the woman were located.
