LEVAN, Juab County — One person is dead after a crash on northbound I-15 in Juab County on Friday.
Deputies were called to the crash about 1:48 p.m. in Levan, where three vehicles collided, the Utah Highway Patrol said.
"Traffic came to a stop in a construction zone, the driver of the blue SUV failed to stop in time and struck the rear end of a white sedan. The blue SUV sideswiped a black SUV before coming to stop when it crashed into a fence," UHP trooper Davies Sanchez said.
One person was airlifted to a hospital with head injuries and later died, troopers said.

UHP said there is construction in the area of the accident, which is causing traffic delays, though the crash itself was not impacting travel.

Traffic is being diverted into Levan; the stretch of I-15 is expected to reopen about 6:30 p.m., Sanchez said.
