DALLAS — If you've ever seen a young child seek their parent's attention and approval while performing a stunt or activity they've practiced and perfected, then you'll likely understand the context of this video.
Ring camera footage shows a Texas woman and her dog in the backyard of what appears to be her home standing near a pool. In the video posted to ViralHog's YouTube page on Tuesday, the dog appears as if it's ready to take a dip in the clear, blue water of the pool.
As the dog named Buck notices the woman beginning to walk away from the pool, he runs up behind and nudges her — nearly knocking her over — to get the owner's attention. Almost seemingly startled, she makes a brief noise, but the dog quickly turns around to sprint back and then cannonballs into the pool.
The woman watches as Buck makes a loud splash into the water, before she continues walking toward a back patio of the home.
According to a caption on the video, the 6-month-old has a history of playing in the water.
"He has snuck in my showers since he was 8 weeks old and bites at the water. Now that he is older and loves to jump and play in the water we spend a lot of our day in the backyard splashing around. I will say this is the first time Buck 'bucked' me to watch his cannonball!" the original poster wrote.
We'll have to keep our eyes peeled for the next trick Buck is eager to show off.
