SAN FRANCISCO — A windsurfer caught more than just the wind while recreating at San Francisco Bay in March.

A video captured a man speeding through the waves on a windsurfer, everything seeming to be working perfectly, when a whale started to breach right in front of him. Unable to stop himself, the man crashed into the poor, gentle giant.

Immediately, the windsail fell over, and the man went flying into the water. Meanwhile, the whale hightailed it out of there and disappeared into the water.

I'm sure neither of the two was expecting to crash into each other that day, but at least the man has photographic proof of his crazy Tuesday.

While I hope the man wasn't injured, I am more concerned about the whale getting struck at such a high speed. Hopefully, the whale is living peacefully in deeper waters and won't experience any further collisions when it next treks into the bay.
