SALT LAKE CITY — One person was injured in a shooting in Salt Lake City early Monday, according to police.

A 22-year-old man called police from a gas station in a Rose Park neighborhood around 1 a.m. after being shot in the lower legs. The man, who has not been identified, was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening, said Salt Lake Police Sgt. Greg Wilking.

The man said he was driving when he was shot and then drove himself to the gas station where he reported the incident, according to Wilking.

Police believe the shooting to be an isolated incident.
