LEVAN, Juab County — A fire near Yuba Lake State Park is under investigation.

The fire, burning on Bureau of Land Management land, is now estimated at 4 acres, but activity has decreased. The fire was deemed to be human-caused and is under investigation, according to a post on X by Utah Fire Info.

State Route 28 has reopened after being closed for a few hours, and drivers are advised to slow down when traveling through the area, the post said.

The fire was originally reported at 5:21 p.m., when state Route 28 just south of Levan was closed due to the blaze that was being pushed by gusty winds.
