SUGAR GROVE, Ill. — An Illinois woman found what's really at the "end of the rainbow," and it wasn't a pot of gold.

A video she took in March shows a beautiful double rainbow touching down on both ends. From her vantage point, the rainbow appears to be anchored to the ground on one side and on the other. "It's landing on our house!" she said.

According to legend, there's supposed to be a pot of gold — put there by leprechauns, no less — wherever a rainbow touches the earth. But this woman, clearly no gold-digger, was just thrilled to see it hitting her home.

"If that's not the most gorgeous thing," she added.

She called it "literal magic," but there is a scientific explanation. Rainbows appear due to refraction, when airborne water droplets disperse light from the sun. The colors always appear in order of their wavelength (longest to shortest): red, orange, yellow, green, blue and violet.

As one viewer commented, "Amazing sight! How inventive nature is."
