THE WILD BLUE YONDER — Have you ever seen that famous episode of "The Twilight Zone" where William Shatner's character sees a gremlin on the wing of his plane? Those scenes from "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet" scared me half to death as a kid. Shortly after watching the episode, I flew on a transoceanic flight with my family. I couldn't help peering out the window frequently, half expecting to see a gremlin chewing on wires and causing other damage.
Thankfully, no gremlins appeared on the flight. But it's indisputable that strange things are observed during flights. "St. Elmo's Fire" comes to mind. Or Foo Fighters.
One thing that I would love to see is a cloud man similar to the one that makes a cameo in this video:
It's clearly a pillar-shaped portion of the cloud. But I'll be darned if it doesn't look like a man waiting on the curb for a taxi to come pick him up. Or perhaps it looks like a cloud supervisor who's keeping an eye on all birds and planes passing through his sector. Kind of reminds me of the part of "James and the Giant Peach" when James and his friends pass by the cloud men and end up being pummeled by hailstones.
Thankfully, this cloud man didn't attack the plane. He simply stood there regally and watched as the plane flew on to its destination.
