THE FRONT YARD – As technology continues to alter the workforce, it's inevitable that some of us feel threatened by the intrusion. In some cases, technology takes our jobs. Other times, it promotes an environment of quantity over quality.
Of course, there are also cases where technology enhances the experience for everyone involved. Tedious tasks are automated, freeing humans to focus on what they do best.
Regardless of where you stand on the issue, you'll likely be faced with many job-related tech encounters in the near future. Like the delivery driver in this video:
It's a familiar scene: An Amazon employee placing a package on a customer's porch and taking a photo to verify the delivery. But that's when technology crashes the party. Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's a Zipline drone dropping off a food delivery.
So, which delivery was best? My money's on the human. The Amazon package was placed in a safe and secure area, while the drone simply left the food on the lawn and flew away.
