RIVERTON — A child was airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries on Thursday after falling from the window of a third-story apartment.

Riverton police spokesperson Nate Slack said a young child fell from a window at the Legacy Springs Apartments, located near 12600 South and Mountain View Corridor, just before 2 p.m.

First responders arrived and the child was flown to a hospital in serious condition.
