THE FROZEN LAKE — Raise your hand if you watched the 2026 Winter Olympics. The U.S. team set a record for most gold medals at the Milano Cortina Games, bringing home a dozen of them. Interestingly enough, the previous record (10) was set right here in Utah during the 2002 Winter Olympics.

My family loved watching the figure skating events. Athletes like Alysa Liu, Madison Chock and Evan Bates put on an epic show.

Of course, not everyone is graceful on the ice. Take the guy in this video, for example:

Wow. While this event unfolded on Lake Superior, the skating skills of the sliding guy definitely seemed inferior. Here's how the person who uploaded the video described it:

"Jamie chose a polar vortex in Marquette, Michigan, during minus 10 degree temps, to go ice skating for the first time in years on Lake Superior with friends, Laura and Steve. The gigantic Ore Dock used to service 1,000-foot freighters in the Lower Harbor. A place with deep water that freezes over only once or twice a decade. Jamie practices fancy spins until Steve suddenly slides out of control across the ice, resembling a giant seal."

I have to agree with this description. Jamie's spins were indeed fancy, and Steve definitely looked like a seal as he slid past the camera.
