TAYLORSVILLE — A man found dead on I-215 near the Redwood Road exit Sunday morning has been identified as 30-year-old Jorge Luis Reyes-Barrios, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

Lt. Cameron Roden says Reyes-Barrios, believed to be a West Valley resident, was hit by at least one vehicle, possibly more. When troopers found the man in the fifth lane, no cars were identified as hitting the man, but "one or two involved parties" have been contacted since, according to Roden.

Investigators don't believe there is anything nefarious about the man's death, Roden says, but if anyone thinks they know the victim or may have hit something on the freeway Sunday morning, they are asked to call the Utah Highway Patrol at 801-887-3800.

The investigation is still ongoing.
