SALT LAKE CITY â It's time for another weekend of college football, so let's look at the Week 10 slate of picks.
It's a quiet week in the state of Utah, with all three FBS teams on a bye week. So get your chores done this week before the three teams resume play next week â including a certain rivalry game â while keeping an occasional eye on the five national games for this week.
The biggest game of the weekend comes from Big Ten country, where third-ranked Penn State welcomes fourth-ranked Ohio State to Beaver Stadium. The Nittany Lions can seemingly never get a win over the Buckeyes, but Ryan Day has had a tough record against top-five teams.
Or, if you like the other Big Ten game, you'll see two 5-3 teams battle it out for a whole lot of nothing but an improved spot in the conference standings. Maybe 20 combined points will be scored between Iowa and Wisconsin â the line is actually 41.5, so more scoring likely.
How about the two ACC matchups, Virginia Tech and Syracuse, or a ranked-on-ranked matchup between undefeated Pittsburgh on the road against a tough SMU team, whose only loss on the season is to BYU.
In the later slate, two Texas teams battle it out in Waco, where TCU will look to build off its momentum of a close win over Texas Tech, and Baylor looks to get over .500 on the season.
