LEHI — A woman was hit while crossing the road Wednesday morning.

According to police, the woman was using a crosswalk on 500 West at Pioneer Crossing in Lehi at 9:23 a.m. when she was hit by a vehicle.

The vehicle's driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police while the woman was airlifted to the hospital.

Police said the woman was conscious and responsive when she was moved to the helicopter. Her specific injuries were not disclosed, but police said they were "at least serious."

Westbound Pioneer Crossing was closed between Center Street and 1100 West during the investigation. By 11:45 a.m., all lanes were reopened.
