BEAVER — Residents near Beaver County's North Creek were advised to seek higher ground due to flooding in the area on Monday.

An alert sent to residents stated everyone within a quarter of a mile of the North Creek rivers should consider leaving the area.

"Do not stop to gather belongings or make efforts to protect your home," the alert stated.

The warning comes after the National Weather Service issued flash flood alerts in Beaver County, Piute County and Sevier County.
