GREEN RIVER — A traffic stop in Green River for a vehicle with expired registration resulted in more than 1,000 pounds of marijuana and THC products being seized.

Segert Ismaili, 27, was arrested for investigation of possessing 100 pounds or more of marijuana, being a restricted person in possession of a gun and not having valid vehicle registration.

The large drug bust happened on Thursday when an Emery County sheriff's deputy pulled over a truck with a trailer for having an expired license plate on the trailer, according to a police booking affidavit.

While waiting for a records check on Ismaili, a police K-9, 'Dak,' did an open-air sniff around the vehicle and trailer and indicated the possible presence of drugs in the trailer, the affidavit states. Inside the trailer, deputies found "102 pounds of marijuana, 54 large jugs of THC concentrate weighing 545 pounds, 36 smaller jugs of THC concentrate weighing 112 pounds and 465 pounds of marijuana hash," according to the affidavit.

The total weight of all the products was 1,228 pounds, the sheriff's office stated. A handgun was also found in the trailer.

Ismaili was booked into the Emery County Jail.
