LOS ANGELES — Eighth-seeded Richmond beat ninth-seeded Georgia Tech 74-49 for the Spiders' first women's NCAA Tournament victory. Maggie Doogan had 30 points, 15 rebounds and six assists in a phenomenal performance for the Spiders, who had gone winless in four previous trips to March Madness by a program with decades of women's basketball history. Addie Budnik added 14 points for Richmond. Tonie Morgan scored 12 points for the Yellow Jackets, who lost six of their final seven games.
