WEST JORDAN — Police are searching for a man who stabbed another man during an altercation at a towing service in West Jordan Thursday.
About 4 p.m., police received a report of a physical altercation at Advanced Towing Services,1340 W. 7900 South. A person was pepper sprayed, and a man was stabbed in the abdomen, West Jordan police spokesman Taylor Griffith said.
The man who had been stabbed was alert when police arrived, and he was taken to a hospital where he was "stable." Griffith did not elaborate on the extent of the man's injuries or specify how many times the man was stabbed.
It is unclear how many people were involved in the altercation or whether the people involved were customers or employees, Griffith said.
The man who is believed to have stabbed the other man left on foot and possibly got into a vehicle, police said. He is described as in his late 30s, about 5-foot-9 and was wearing a dark green hoodie with gray pants.
