CEDAR CITY — Narcotics task force agents arrested a suspected drug dealer in Cedar City earlier this week.
Brian Eugene Olguin, 47, was arrested on Monday following a raid conducted by agents with the Iron-Garfield-Beaver Narcotics Task Force.
According to the probable cause statement filed in support of Olguin's arrest, agents had received information that he had been selling marijuana and narcotics.
After applying for and receiving a search warrant signed by a local judge, the agents waited for Olguin to leave the residence and conducted a high-risk stop. He was then taken into custody without further incident.
The agents then accompanied Olguin back inside the residence and served the warrant. A subsequent search of the residence yielded the following, according to the affidavit:
- Large amounts of marijuana which had been vacuum-sealed into large brick sized packages.
- Jars containing what appeared to be THC "wax," which had allegedly been manufactured by Olguin.
- Various types of grow products, including alleged illegal plant seeds.
- Multiple weapons, including an imitation firearm that was a replica of a Glock pistol with an extended magazine, in addition to a .380 Hi-Point pistol and a sword.
