COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS — A woman who used a ride-share service to get home from a concert was allegedly abused by the driver.

Abdoulaye Ali, 36, of Salt Lake City, was charged Monday in 3rd District Court with forcible sexual abuse, a second-degree felony.

On April 19, a woman attended a concert and ordered a Lyft to take her home, according to charging documents.

"(The woman) was resting her head against the door, giving the appearance that she had fallen asleep (when) Ali reached back" and inappropriately touched her, the charges state.

The woman "immediately pushed Ali off and tried to unlock the door while Ali still grasped for her," according to the charges.

The woman got out of the car, and Ali drove away. The case was investigated by the Cottonwood Heights Police Department.
