SALT LAKE CITY — A man was arrested Tuesday for allegedly stabbing a person and two dogs in Salt Lake City.
About 5:45 p.m. Monday, police received a report of a man who was stabbed at a motel at 176 W. 600 South. Officers arrived on scene and administered medical aid to the man, who was stabilized and taken to the hospital.
Investigators learned Carl Henry, 47, got into an argument with a motel employee after their dogs started fighting. The employee told officers he was trying to separate the fighting dogs, but Henry didn't attempt to intervene, a statement from Salt Lake police said.
At some point, Henry allegedly stabbed the employee's dog, his own dog and the employee multiple times. Henry fled the scene, police said, but officers arrested him when he returned to the motel Tuesday morning.
Henry was booked into jail for investigation of aggravated assault and aggravated animal cruelty.
