SOUTH SALT LAKE — A motorcyclist was killed in an accident Wednesday at the corner of Truman Avenue and Main Street.

The crash happened around noon, closing the intersection for hours, said South Salt Lake police detective Ryan Alvarez.

The motorcyclist, a 40-year-old woman, was transported to the hospital in critical condition and later died as a result of her injuries, he said. The cause of the accident is still under investigation, and the identity of the woman has not yet been released.
