WEST YELLOWSTONE, Mont. – When winter storms start hitting, it's important for snowplows to be able to do their job uninhibited. So it's extremely frustrating when people park their cars on city streets or in other areas that will block the plows.

I think there are several cities that actually ticket cars for parking on the street overnight during storms. And the guilty drivers who aren't ticketed probably receive glares from their neighbors when they go to move their ice-covered cars the next morning.

But tickets and glares will only get you so far. It takes stronger action to actually remedy the problem. Like in the Yellowstone region, where they simply lift your vehicle up and move it somewhere else.

Here's how the original poster described the situation:

"My husband Ken and I were approaching a stoplight in West Yellowstone, Montana, when we became slightly confused. Why is that snow-covered SUV floating sideways, but also coming towards us? When we saw the forklift, I pulled out my phone because it just looked so funny! Like a patient parent removing the stubborn tantrum throwing kid from the premises. We aren't sure why it was being removed but suspect it had to do with snow removal, because we'd just had a pretty good snowstorm ... West Yellowstone, Montana, just gets the job done! No nonsense!"

As the parent of a toddler who likes to tantrum, I absolutely loved that comparison. And I'm also thinking that West Yellowstone might've found the perfect solution to people parking their vehicles in the path of plows.
