THE NEIGHBORHOOD — There are few people who seem to be able to live without making any enemies, or even hurting anyone's feelings. One such person is Fred Rogers, known to multiple generations of children as Mister Rogers.

Near the close of each episode of "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood," Mister Rogers would exchange his classic navy canvas sneakers for a pair of loafers.

In this video, a person close to the famed host seems to have taken advantage of the well-known routine. As Rogers attempts to put his feet into the loafers, he quickly notices they don't quite fit. He looks up, smiles and laughs, and the TV crew laughs right along with the cheerful Rogers.

A person referred to as Jimmy replaced Rogers's shoes with his own. The immediate, natural reaction of Mister Rogers was to share in the laugh.

"Thanks ever so much," Rogers replies to the prank.

Multiple commenters pointed out Mister Rogers may be the only person who has said "thank you" after getting pranked.

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood every day when people live so joyfully.
