SALT LAKE CITY — With the odds stacked against BYU late at home Friday night, the Cougars refused to quit.

Quarterback Jake Retzlaff led BYU on a drive with just over a minute left in the game, capping off the drive with a 35-yard touchdown pass to Darius Lassiter, who broke several tackles en route to the end zone, to keep the Cougars' undefeated season alive.

The Cougars remain one of only a handful of teams in the country with a perfect record. And with the win, BYU moved up again in the latest Associated Press Top 25 rankings released Sunday.

BYU moved up two spots in the AP rankings, up to No. 11 and just outside the top 10, and just behind fellow undefeated Big 12 team Iowa State, who checks in at No. 10 this week.

Kansas State, which got a win on the road over West Virginia, moved up one spot to No. 16 as the only other team from the Big 12 ranked this week.

With the jump in the rankings, BYU would become the second Big 12 to make the 12-team playoff as an at-large team if the season ended today.

After a top-25 showdown where Georgia upset then-No. 1 Texas, Oregon moved up to the No. 1 spot for the first time this season with 59 first-place votes. The Bulldogs, who moved up to No. 2 with a win, received two first-place votes.

Behind Georgia in the rankings is No. 3 Penn State, No. 4 Ohio State and No. 5 Texas, who drops four spots after suffering their first loss of the season.
