LEHI — A man died after firefighters say he was likely pinned against a forklift boom truck for hours at a construction site in northern Utah County.

Lehi firefighters responded to a report of a death at a construction site located at 3249 N. 1200 West around 8 a.m. Thursday, according to Lehi emergency spokeswoman Jeanteil Livingston. The man, whose name and age have not yet been released, was found pinned against the construction vehicle.

It's unclear when the incident happened. Livingston said the man's wife had gone to the site Thursday morning after he didn't return home Wednesday night. The wife and the man's co-workers found his body before calling emergency services.

Investigators believe the man likely died overnight. The Utah County Special Response Team was called in to assist in recovering the man's body Thursday afternoon.

The incident remains under investigation.

Correction: A previous version said the death was reported at 11:30 a.m., but Lehi officials corrected the time to 8 a.m.
