Breaking down the top 10 ranked recruits in Utah for the Class of 2026

SALT LAKE CITY — The 2024-25 high school football season is flying by, and the Class of 2025 will soon reach the end of their high school careers.

With that being said, it's important to know who will be next.

Let's take a look at the top 10 ranked recruits in Utah for the Class of 2026, according to 247Sports.

Brock Harris, TE (Pine View HS)

Brock Harris is a 6-foot-6, 238-pound tight end from Pine View High. He ranks as a five-star recruit, the No. 2 tight end in the country, and the No. 26 overall recruit in the Class of 2026, according to 247Sports' Composite rankings.

BYU was his third offer and Utah was his fifth. Since January 2023, when both programs extended offers, he's been offered by Alabama, Notre Dame, USC, Texas A&M and LSU.

He took an unofficial visit to BYU in September 2023, but has also taken unofficial visits to Miami, Alabama, USC and Oregon. Harris has been to Oregon three times and USC twice.

Salesi Moa, ATH (Fremont HS)

Salesi Moa is a 6-foot-2, 175-pound athlete from Fremont High and is being recruited primarily as a safety.

BYU and Utah were his first two offers, and he also holds offers from Arizona, Washington, Oregon State, Oregon and Texas A&M.

Moa is being heavily pursued by Oregon and has taken an unofficial visit there. But his two brothers, Aisea Moa and Sione Moa, both currently play for BYU.

Bott Mulitalo, DL (Lone Peak HS)

Bott Mulitalo is a 6-foot-4, 275-pound defensive lineman from Lone Peak High, where he is ranked as the No. 5 defensive lineman in the country.

Utah was Mulitalo's first offer in December 2022, but BYU didn't offer until March 2024. He also holds offers from Tennessee, Oregon, Auburn, Nebraska and USC.

Mulitalo has been to Oregon twice for unofficial visits, most recently being in July, and is planning to take a visit to Utah on Saturday.

Helaman Casuga, QB (Corner Canyon HS)

Casuga is a 6-foot-0.5, 200-pound quarterback from Corner Canyon High and is set to make his commitment on Oct. 8.

The Corner Canyon quarterback announced his top eight schools in August, which are Arizona, Auburn, BYU, Nebraska, Texas A&M, USC, Utah and Washington.

According to On3's recruiting prediction machine, Casuga is heavily favored toward Texas A&M at a 97% prediction rate. Utah holds a 1% rate, and USC and Oregon all have less than 1% rates.

Esun Tafa, OL (Corner Canyon HS)

Esun Tafa is a 6-foot-4, 285-pound interior offensive lineman from Corner Canyon High.

Tafa burst on the scene after his sophomore season, earning his first offer from Washington State in December 2023. Utah offered in February, and BYU offered over the summer in June.

The Corner Canyon lineman has recently taken visits to BYU in June and Oregon in July. He took an unofficial visit to Michigan State on April 2 and an unofficial visit to Michigan the next day, but the Wolverines have not offered.

Kaue Akana, ATH (Orem HS)

Kaue Akana is a 6-foot-3, 200-pound athlete from Orem High, and is projected primarily as a wide receiver.

Utah extended an offer to Akana is September 2022, and BYU offered in June 2023.

Both Utah and BYU are programs to watch, as he's unofficially visited both schools. He visited Utah earlier in September, and also visited UCLA in April. Akana's cousin, Tausili Akana, is a linebacker at Texas.

Kennan Pula, WR (Timpview HS)

Kennan Pula is a 6-foot-2, 170-pound wide receiver from Timpview High.

Utah extended an offer in May 2023, but BYU hadn't offered until June 2024. He also holds offers from Alabama, Ole Miss, Miami, Oregon and USC.

Pula has taken unofficial visits to BYU, UCLA, USC, Michigan State, Alabama and Cincinnati so far this year.

Jaron Pula, WR (Timpview HS)

Kennan Pula's twin brother, Jaron Pula, is a 6-foot-2.5, 180-pound wide receiver from Timpview High.

The twin brothers' recruitments have coincided with one another, taking the same visits.

Viliami Moala, DL (Bingham HS)

Viliami Moala is a 6-foot-3, 305-pound defensive lineman from Bingham High.

On Sep. 10, Moala made his commitment to USC over Utah, BYU, Tennessee, UCLA and more. He made the sixth commitment for USC's Class of 2026, which ranks fourth in the country, according to 247Sports.

Kaneal Sweetwyne, QB (Skyridge HS)

Kaneal Sweetwyne is a 6-foot-3, 195-pound quarterback from Skyridge High.

He currently holds two offers from BYU and Washington State.
