PARIS — Paris organizing head Tony Estanguet has hailed the Olympics and Paralympics as an "unprecedented success" after selling more than 12 million tickets across both Games. Estanguet has highlighted bold innovations, such as hosting the opening ceremonies outside stadiums and staging events near landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower and Versailles. Estanguet says the Paris Games approach has inspired 2028 Los Angeles Games organizers, who observed the event to learn best practices. Estanguet has encouraged them to be audacious and capitalize on their unique strengths. Paris' feel-good summer of sport will conclude on Saturday with a parade on the Champs Elysées featuring hundreds of French athletes.
