YOUR NIGHTMARES — I'm not scared of spiders. Sure, I might jump if one suddenly creeps out in front of me in the garage. But it's more because I'm startled by an unexpected movement than it being a spider.
I enjoy seeing spiders most of the time since they're such hard-working creatures and eat a lot of pesky bugs. Even a black widow has undeniable beauty to me, though, I appreciate them from afar.
How about you? Do you see the beauty in spiders? Or do you steer clear of anything with eight legs?
I will say this … even though I like spiders, this video gave me the creeps.
This nightmarish video is a time-lapse showing a Mexican flame knee tarantula molting. As the name suggests, this type of tarantula lives in Mexico and has flame-colored knees. While it looks downright intimidating in this video, I recently learned a fun fact about these spiders. They sometimes live communally with frogs, helping each other and living peacefully.
So, if watching this arachnophobia-inducing video has made you feel nervous and uncomfortable, imagine this spider sharing a heartwarming friendship with an adorable frog.
