BENJAMIN, Utah County — Troopers have identified a 25-year-old driver who died Sunday after veering off an overpass and being ejected from the vehicle in Benjamin.

At 4:56 a.m., Utah Highway Patrol troopers received information that a fatal crash had occurred on state Route 164 in Benjamin, Utah County.

A Dodge Durango driven by Hunter J. Walker, of Santaquin, had been westbound on 8000 South. The vehicle veered to the right off the side of the road, then "launched off the overpass structure concrete wall, back into the travel lane, and across again," UHP said in a statement.

The vehicle climbed up the wall and then rolled down again, striking a round pillar.

While rolling down, Walker was ejected from the vehicle as he was not wearing a seat belt, UHP said. He was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical responders.

The cause of the crash was not identified.
