RIVERDALE — A crash involving eight vehicles is causing significant delays on I-15 in Weber County.
The Utah Department of Transportation on Friday said all northbound lanes are blocked near 4600 South in Riverdale.
Utah Highway Patrol Cpl. Eddie Wright said several people were transported to the hospital, but the extent of their injuries was unknown.
Details about the crash were not immediately available.
Officials said drivers should expect major impacts to travel in the area and encouraged drivers to use I-84 as an alternate option.
Neither UDOT nor UHP gave an estimated time of when the lanes would reopen.
