WEST HAVEN, Weber County — A North Ogden man is dead after a crash on I-15 near 2100 South in West Haven on Friday.
The Weber County Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to the scene after a white Dodge pickup and a Ford F-350 pickup collided just after 7:30 a.m. The driver of the Dodge, identified as Paul Herrera, 62, was killed after the truck rolled and came to rest on its roof.
The Dodge was traveling west on 2100 South. As the eastbound Ford made a left turn to enter the I-15 onramp, the two trucks collided in the intersection, according to the sheriff's office.
Herrera, the only one in the Dodge, was found unresponsive and had to be extricated from the vehicle.
Despite lifesaving measures performed by medical personnel who responded, he was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
"The Weber County Sheriff's Office extends its condolences to the family of Mr. Herrera and all those affected by his loss," officials said in a press release Friday.
The Weber Metro CRASH Team responded and is helping with the investigation, which remains ongoing.
