LINDON — The Lindon Utah Temple will be dedicated by President Henry B. Eyring, first counselor in the First Presidency, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced on Tuesday.

The announcement said the ceremony will take place at 11 a.m. and will be broadcast to meetinghouses within the temple's district.

President Eyring will be accompanied by Elder Steven R. Bangerter, executive director of the church's temple department, and Elder Jorge T. Becerra of the Utah Area Presidency, along with their wives.

The Lindon Utah Temple was announced by President Russell M. Nelson in October 2020, and ground was broken on April 23, 2022.

The open house for the 81,000-square-foot building began March 12 and continued through April 11.

When the Lindon temple is dedicated, it will be the 25th temple in Utah and the 216th temple in the world. It is the second temple in Utah to have two baptistries, and there will soon be four as the Provo Utah Rock Canyon Temple and the Salt Lake Temple are completed.
