OGDEN — Police are investigating a garage fire that killed one person in Ogden Tuesday.

Fire crews responded to the 3100 block of Adams Avenue in Ogden just before 6 a.m. Smoke and flames were coming from a detached garage that had a vehicle inside, according to Ogden Fire Chief Mike Slater.

The fire was contained to the garage, and it was extinguished. During a search of the structure, firefighters located one person who was deceased, Slater said. The person's identity has not yet been released.

The Utah State Fire Marshal's Office is working with Ogden police and the medical examiner's office to investigate what caused the blaze.
