THE OLYMPICS — This year's Winter Olympics have been thrilling.
We'll never forget Breezy Johnson's thrilling slalom gold-medal performance, Madison Chock's and Evan Bates' matador-themed skating routine and the double-touching curling scandal that was almost as exciting as the sport itself.
However, one Olympian stole the show in a new way on Wednesday.
A crowd gathered to watch the women's team cross-country skiing sprint event erupted into cheers as a Czechoslovakian wolfdog emerged out of nowhere and bolted across the finish line.

"The biggest cheer of the day is not for any of the skiers so far," one of the broadcasters jokes, before the crew gave the dog his own instant replay breakdown.
This new Olympic hero was 2-year-old Nazgul, who just wanted to join his family at the event, his owner told NPR after the race. The owner described Nazgul as "stubborn, but very sweet" — and a fan of people. That could explain why he started chasing down the field to meet the competitors at the finish line.
Sure, Nazgul isn't going to medal in skiing even after this valiant effort; however, I think we can all agree he's a gold medal winner in all of our hearts.
