LAIE, Hawaii — You can't talk much about Hawaii without referencing the hula.

Locals know the greatest collection of hula is at the Merrie Monarch Festival, held every April in Hilo, on the island of Hawaii. So big is the event and the associated competition, called the "Super Bowl of Hula," that preparations begin months, even almost a year, in advance.

Such is the case too for 18-month-old Kuanao'o Burke, who "rehearsed" with members of his family's hula halau recently.

Looks like the kid is well on his way to becoming a star one day. I'll definitely be watching the Merrie Monarch Festival when he takes the stage with his hula halau in Hilo.
