WELLSVILLE, Cache County — A 37-year-old motorcyclist collided with a dump truck in Wellsville Friday, causing the rider to be taken by medical helicopter to a trauma center.

Cache County sheriff's deputies responded to a call at 1:50 pm. for a crash at 300 W. 200 South in Wellsville. The rider was traveling at high speed when he crashed into the dump truck, according to the sheriff's office.

The motorcyclist was in critical condition.

Deputies were conducting an investigation at the crash site with the help of Utah Highway Patrol.
