Auburn is the No. 1 seed overall seed and is headed to the South Region of the NCAA Tournament. The Tigers spent eight weeks at No. 1 in the AP Top 25 before losing three of its past four games, including an SEC tourney semifinal to Tennessee. They will play Alabama State or Saint Francis in the first round on Thursday. The Tigers were joined in the region by No. 2 seed Michigan State, third-seeded Iowa State and No. 4 seed Texas A&M, which beat Auburn earlier in the season. The Aggies will open against No. 13 seed Yale, which beat Auburn as the same seed in the first round of last year's tournament.
