HONOLULU — Gary Woodland had a short flight from his vacation on the Big Island to the Sony Open on Oahu. Former President Barrack Obama and family were seated in the row ahead of Woodland and his wife. Woodland says it was a cool experience even if they never spoke. He's not even sure Obama knew who he was. But the U.S. Open champion at Pebble Beach said the former president gave him a thumbs-up. The talk of the TGL was the shot clock. That might be one thing the PGA Tour considers during an upcoming study on pace of play.
