WEST HAVEN — A 67-year-old homeless man was found dead in West Haven on Sunday.

The man, identified Thursday as Keith Conley, was found near 2100 Skate Street after a fisherman was walking through a trail near the river and came across the body, according to Lt. Colby Ryan, spokesman for the Weber County Sheriff's Office.

Ryan said officers checked on Conley on Nov. 15, two days before he was found dead, and inquired whether he wanted shelter services, but Conley refused.

Conley's body was taken by the medical examiner's office and the exact cause of death remains unknown.

The investigation into Conley's death is ongoing, but Ryan said there aren't any suspicions of foul play.
