SALT LAKE CITY — Two men were shot and one killed after an argument late Friday night off 2100 South in Sugar House, police say.
At around 11:40 p.m., police responded to a report of shots fired near 1045 E. 2100 South, by the Natural Grocers and Quarters Arcade Bar, according to a press release sent Saturday.
Several people were in an argument, police say, when a 26-year-old man may have pulled out a gun and shot a 38-year-old man.
"The argument continued and a 30-year-old man is accused of taking the firearm from the 26-year-old man and shooting him," according to the press release.
The 38-year-old was transported to the hospital in critical but stable condition, police say, but the 26-year-old died at the scene. Some of those involved were detained, according to the press release, including the 30-year-old man.
Investigators say the shooting was an isolated incident "that resulted from the initial argument," though the details of the argument are not clear, the release says.
The incident was one of two deadly shootings Friday night into Saturday.
