PARK CITY — Ticket packages for the 41st Sundance Film Festival will be on sale Wednesday at 10 a.m., with discounts for young adults and Utahns.

The festival will take place Jan. 23 to Feb. 2, 2025, at various venues in Park City and Salt Lake City. It could be the second-to-last festival in Utah, as festival organizers have been weighing bids from other cities to host starting in 2027.

The ticket offering beginning Wednesday follows a one-week pass sale that happened in July.

Local participants will be able to buy the $900 festival pass, which organizers say is one of the most popular, for $675 and includes 10 movie passes that can be reserved before individual tickets go on sale in January.

For young adults ages 18 to 25, a pass is $275, including opportunities to attend after the first three days and receive 10 in-person tickets and five online tickets.

The VIP experience is $4,200 and includes an express pass for anyone wanting to see just the second half of the festival without waiting in lines.

Unlimited access to just the Salt Lake City screenings will cost $600, or $300 for young adults. Those showings will take place at the Broadway Centre Cinemas and Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center.

In Park City, the Egyptian, Eccles Center, Holiday Village Cinemas, Ray, Park City Library Theatre and the Megaplex are slated for Sundance showings.

Online showings are also a popular option, with a virtual festival package priced at $350, and a pass to see all the short films costing $50. The short film pass price has notably doubled since 2023. Prices have increased since last year, with 2024 festival passes costing $850, and Salt Lake City screening passes set at $550. Local passes increased by only $25 compared to the other packages.

Single film tickets, both online and in-person, will be sold for $35 starting Jan. 16. Single ticket prices have increased by $10 since 2023. The program will be released in mid-December, according to the Sundance website.

Festival organizers are still weighing three finalists — Salt Lake City/Park City; Boulder, Colorado; and Cincinnati, Ohio — as future host cities and have said they will announce the chosen city or cities following the completion of the 2025 festival.
