VERNAL — A 60-year-old Roosevelt woman who went missing this week was found dead inside her vehicle Tuesday, according to Vernal police.

Kimberly Hyde was last seen in Roosevelt around 2:30 p.m. on Monday, according to a Facebook post from her husband. Her 2014 Honda Civic was gone, as well.

"Husband, family and friends are worried sick," the post said.

On Tuesday, a car registered to Kimberly Hyde was found in the Vernal area, according to police. "Investigators discovered an adult female who was deceased inside the vehicle," a statement issued Wednesday by Vernal police says.

The woman was taken to the Office of the Medical Examiner "for positive identification and further investigation," according to the statement.

Police have not released any additional information about the woman's cause of death, the location of the vehicle, or the investigation.
