SALT LAKE CITY — Another week of high school football has come and gone in the state of Utah.

There was a bit of a shakeup, but Lone Peak maintained its spot at the top of the rankings midway through the season. But the Knights will face a stiff test this weekend when the team travels to California to take on a tough Centennial team that ranks No. 5 in California, according to MaxPreps.

Here's how the rankings shake out after Week 4 action.

1. Lone Peak (4-0)

Unanimous across the board, Lone Peak reigns at No. 1 after a 38-13 victory over Mountain Ridge last week. Bott Mulitalo had three sacks and four tackles for loss in the win. The Knights will travel to Corona, California, to take on Centennial, who defeated Timpview 56-20 last week.

2. Corner Canyon (3-1)

The Chargers dismantled the Phoenix flame 42-7 on Friday night, backed by a 19-of-23 performance from quarterback Helamen Casuga. It's Casuga's third game of 300+ yards and four or more touchdowns this season.

3. Skyridge (3-1)

Three straight wins for the Falcons after burying the — previously ranked — Bingham Miners 38-10. Skyridge will welcome in Corner Canyon on Friday night in what is expected to be one of the best games of the year of high school football.

4. Timpview (1-2)

The Thunderbirds dropped a game on the road against Centennial after not playing for two weeks due to the cancellation of its game against crosstown rival Provo. Region 7 play will kick off with the Thunderbirds hosting 3-1 Springville.

5. Lehi (3-0)

Lehi had a bye week but still remains one of the top teams in the state at 3-0 with wins over Davis, Desert Hills and Bingham. The Pioneers head to Herriman in an attempt to tame the Mustangs this week.

6. Brighton (4-0)

The Bengals are off to a speedy start thanks to excellent defensive play and is outscoring opponents 146-49 through four games. The Bengals are coming off a 35-0 shutout win over Highland and will turn to face Olympus.

7. Roy (4-0)

The Royals dominated Clearfield 35-0 in their first region game. Junior wideout Isaiah Morris tallied 147 receiving yards on just four catches, three of them going to the end zone.

9. Orem (4-0)

Orem throttled West Jordan 56-17 after back-to-back close wins over American Fork and Farmington. Orem will start region play this week, and will continue with a road trip to Heber City in a matchup against Wasatch.

10. Ridgeline (4-0)

The undefeated Riverhawks shutout Cedar Valley 45-0 in a dominant defensive performance. It's the second time the Riverhawks have held opponents to 7 points or less this season.

11. American Fork (2-2)

After a rough 0-2 start, American Fork bounced back with wins over West and Riverton. David Gaisford Jr. completed 17-of-22 passes for 304 yards in a 27-20 victory over Riverton. The Cavemen will face Liberty High of Henderson, Nevada, on Friday.

12. Viewmont (4-0)

13. Morgan (4-0)

The Trojans could be one of the best 3A teams in recent history. Morgan dominated Layton Christian 42-7 last week and will take on Kearns, who just lost by 80 to Davis. Keep an eye out for the Trojans to keep climbing the rankings.

14. Bountiful (3-1)

Bountiful dropped after losing to Viewmont last week. The Redhawks have three solid wins under their belt but had its defense fall apart against crosstown rival Viewmont. Bountiful will take on Bonneville in its second region game of the year.

15. Weber (3-1)

The Warriors took down Wasatch 35-16 in a great bounceback effort after losing to Roy the previous week. Weber has held opposing offenses to an average of 14 points per game in wins.

16. Maple Mountain (4-0)

The Golden Eagles soared over Pleasant Grove 30-7 in what was a defensive shutout that saw eight turnovers forced by Maple Mountain's defense. The Golden Eagles are 4-0 on the year and have three games where opponents have scored 7 points or less. Maple Mountain's defense is tough and physical every week.

17. Northridge (4-0)

Northridge's high-powered offense carried them to another victory over Box Elder 35-7, one week after they scored 62 points on Kearns. But the Knights will have a battle against No. 12 Viewmont this week on the road.

18. Mountain Ridge (2-2)

Mountain Ridge was on the losing end to the top team in the state, Lone Peak, last week, and is now .500 on the season ahead of region play. The Sentinels travel to Farmington in a get-right game.

19. Park City (4-0)

The Miners have been a nightmare for opposing offenses this year. Park City has two shutouts and a 52-7 win over Hillcrest last week. The Miners have outscored opponents 159-41 and will face a lower-powered offense in Murray this week.

20. East (3-1)

The Leopards won its first region game against Alta 55-34 in an offensive shootout. East has scored 42 points or more in each of its three wins this season. East will take on Valor Christian (CO), who are 2-0 in their season, this week.

Plus-1: Layton (3-1)

Layton has turned some heads this season, defeating Taylorsville 34-14 last week. With their only loss coming to Northridge in a close 23-14 battle, the Lancers could make some noise in Region 1 play this season.

It's still too early to tell, but the Lancers could be well on their way to landing a spot in the top 20 soon. A home game against West Jordan is next on the schedule.
