DRAPER — In a game that will be remembered as one of the most thrilling in recent high school football history, Corner Canyon's senior wide receiver, Jerome Myles, showcased why he's one of the top recruits in the nation.

Myles' stellar performance on the field led the Chargers to a stunning 35-34 victory over the third-ranked team in the nation, IMG Academy, from Florida, snapping their 18-game winning streak.

He was nothing short of spectacular, catching five passes for 125 yards, including three touchdowns, each more impressive than the last. Among these was an impressive one-handed grab that left fans and scouts alike in awe, sealing the victory for Corner Canyon in the final moments.

The IMG defense, known for its toughness, couldn't contain Myles, whose blend of speed, agility, and strength proved too much to handle.

The chemistry between Myles and Corner Canyon's quarterback, Helaman Casuga, was on full display throughout the game.

Casuga, who has led the Chargers to two victories this season, connected with Myles on several key plays, including all three touchdowns. Their connection is unmatched in the state, resembling a well-oiled machine that keeps defenses on their heels, and is a significant reason for the Chargers' continued success.

With offers from powerhouse programs like Texas A&M, Utah, Ohio State, Georgia and USC, Myles has established himself as one of the premier wide receivers in the country. Standing at 6-foot-2, 210 pounds, Myles possesses the physical tools that college coaches dream about, combined with the skills that separate good players from great ones.

But Myles' skill set isn't limited to the gridiron.

His track background is equally impressive, with personal bests of 10.57 in the 100 meters and 21.30 in the 200 meters. That track speed translates seamlessly to the football field, where he routinely blows past defenders, making him a nightmare for opposing corners.

After missing much of his junior season due to injury, Myles came back hungry, playing a crucial role in Corner Canyon's state championship run. Now a senior, he's once again proving his worth, not just as a top receiver but as a leader on and off the field.

With his college decision looming on October 30, the football world waits eagerly to see where Myles will take his talents next. One thing is certain: Wherever he goes, Myles will continue to make headlines for his incredible performance and impact on one of the biggest stages in high school football.

This week, Myles and the Chargers are set to face off in a matchup against the No. 2 ranked team according to the KSL.com Top 20+1 rankings, the Lone Peak Knights, who also hold a 2-0 record on the year. This showdown promises to be another must-watch game as both teams fight to remain undefeated.
