BULLFROG BASIN, Kane County — A Utah man died Sunday after falling 20 feet overboard from a houseboat in Lake Powell.

Officials received report about 3 a.m. of a missing person who had fallen about 20 feet overboard from the upper level of a houseboat on Lake Powell in Wetherill Canyon, which is located about 40 boating miles from the Glen Canyon Dam in San Juan County.

At 12:36 p.m. Sunday, the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area dive team recovered the victim's body, and he was pronounced dead, according to the National Park Service. He was identified as Jackson Roy Law, 41. His city of residence has not yet been released.

A fundraiser was created for Law's funeral services* and to support his husband Wyatt Hendricks as he deals with the unexpected loss.
