SAINT-DENIS, France — The changing of the guard in Jamaican sprints could be approaching more quickly than anyone imagined. If there's a next crop of greats for the island known for sun, sand and sprints, they have largely stayed away from Paris. Kishane Thompson's silver medal in the 100 meters is the lone bright spot for a Jamaican team that is struggling on the track. Elaine Thompson-Herah, Shericka Jackson and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, all in their 30s, all pulled out of their Olympic sprints with injuries. The team that won 15 of the 24 Olympic medals in the women's 100 and 200 since 2008 will go home with none this year.
