Jonathan Kabeya, CB, Byron Nelson HS (Trophy Club, Texas)
The 5-foot-10, 170-pound defensive back announced his commitment to BYU defensive coordinator Jay Hill and cornerbacks coach Jernaro Gilford on Aug. 6, choosing the Cougars over a list of offers that included Arizona State, Indiana, Tulane and Texas State, per 247Sports.
Kabeya, who also plays basketball, took an unofficial visit to BYU in July.
"I really, really love their coaching staff," Kabeya told Dave Campbell's Texas Football before his commitment. "They recently moved into the Big 12, and I feel like they have something special going on."

- Named 6A All-District First Team selection as a senior
- Transferred to Byron Nelson High from Colleyville Heritage after being a first-team all-district selection as a junior
- A 5A All-District First Team as a junior and a senior in 2021 and 2022
