OGDEN — Police are investigating a homicide that happened shortly after midnight Sunday on the 500 block of 31st Street.
Officers were dispatched to a report of a shooting in the area and arrived to find a man unconscious on the sidewalk "bleeding from an apparent gunshot wound," according to a press release posted on the Ogden Police Department’s Facebook page.
The man, who police say is in his 20s, died a short time later. Police haven't released his name to the public.
Officers arrested Everardo Guarrama-Garcia, 24, in connection with the shooting. "The available evidence suggests this was an isolated incident and there is no ongoing threat to the public,” the press release said.
